About SwissArmyTechTools

Free, fast, and private technical tools for the people who keep networks and systems running.

What is SwissArmyTechTools?

SwissArmyTechTools is a collection of free web-based utilities built for IT administrators, MSPs, network engineers, developers, and security professionals. Every tool on this site is designed to solve a real, everyday problem — quickly and without friction.

The name reflects the intent: a single toolkit that covers the range of tasks a technical professional encounters day to day. Subnet calculations, DNS lookups, password generation, MAC address identification — the tools you reach for constantly but rarely want to install software just to use.

Our philosophy

Every design decision on this site comes back to five principles.

Fast by design

No heavy frameworks. No bloated dependencies. Pages are static HTML delivered from Cloudflare's global edge network. Tools that run in the browser have no round-trips.

Free — no paywalls

Every tool is permanently free. No account required. No rate limits on core functionality. No premium tier that locks away the useful features.

Privacy-first

Client-side tools (password generator, subnet calculator, MAC lookup) never send your input to any server. Server-side tools use your data only to return the requested result — nothing is stored.

Built for practitioners

Tools are designed by someone who uses them professionally. The defaults, labels, and output formats reflect how IT professionals actually work — not how a general-purpose tool handles networking concepts.

No vendor lock-in

Core tools require no API keys, no external accounts, and no subscriptions. The tools that require network access use public, open infrastructure — DNS-over-HTTPS from public resolvers, freely available IEEE data.

These tools are live and fully functional today.
